Lessons
All members of the Panapolli Trio are available for private lessons for you or your child. Below you will find our bio and rates. We look forward to the opportunity to further your musical knowledge.
Townes Osborn Miller, flutist, earned her Bachelor and Master of Arts degrees in Applied Music (Flute) at Western Carolina University, where she also held a graduate assistantship. Her principal teacher was Dr. Eldred Spell. The founder of the Panapolli Trio, she freelances in the greater Kansas City music community, plays in a classical Flute/Guitar Duo, co-conductor/founder of the Kansas City Flute Choir, is the adjunct instructor of flute, Music Appreciation and Music Fundamentals at Kansas City Kansas Community College, is the interim co-coordinator of the Music Department of KCKCC and teaches at the Toon Shop School of Music. Ms. Miller has performed with the St. Joseph Symphony, St. Joseph Symphony Municipal Band, Kansas City Puccini Arts Festival, Kansas City Civic Orchestra, Overland Park Orchestra, Psalmfest for the Historic Northeast Cultural Arts Commission, and the Asheville (NC) Choral Society. She has also been the featured soloist with the St. Matthias Chamber Orchestra (NC), the Oak Ridge (TN) Civic Music Association Guild, and with Midland Adventist Academy (KS). She has performed in master classes, both in the United States and England, with William Bennett, Clare Southworth, Goran Marcusson, Alexa Still, George Pope and Jim Walker. Ms. Miller also helped coordinate the Northwest Missouri State University Flute Camp featuring Dr. Eldred Spell, in addition to serving as the Flute Choir conductor for the event. She is a member of the National Flute Association, Kansas City Federation of Musicians, Kansas City Flute Association (KCFA) and is is serving as Flute Day coordinator for the KCFA.
As a teacher, Ms. Miller brings over a decade of experience to each lesson. She has served as an adjudicator for Western Carolina University's Honors' Band, Missouri District Band Auditions and Kansas District Band Auditions. In addition Ms. Miller has taught high school master classes in North Carolina and Georgia. She was also the assistant teacher and coordinator for two years with Dr. Eldred Spell's Master Class in North Carolina.
Ms. Miller's students have won auditions and competitions in both North Carolina and Kansas City. Her student's have participated in the Youth Symphonies in North Carolina and Kansas City, District and State Bands (KC & NC), Western Carolina University Honor's Band (NC), KCFA Honor's Recital (KC), University of Nebraska Winds and Percussion Festival, Mid America Music Association (KC), Kansas City Youth Symphony Flute Choir, Governor's School for Music (NC), and the Oklahoma Flute Fair - Jim Walker Master Class and the Kansas City Flute Association Flute Day -Leone Buyse Master Class.
In the summer of 2002, Ms. Miller took students to North Carolina to attend a Master Class given by her former teacher Dr. Eldred Spell.

Tuition for the school year is divided into 9 equal payments from September 1, 2005 through May 27, 2005 regardless of any absences or holidays. Tuition is not based upon the number of lessons in any given month, and there is no refund for missed lessons. Each student receives a set number of lessons between September and May (15 per semester). There is a SWAP LIST available for students. This provides the opportunity to receive all scheduled classes. There are no deductions in tuition for special vacations or extra absences that occur during the school year.

Fall/Spring semesters are each 15 weeks for a total of 30 weeks for the 2005-2006 school year.

Jennifer Van Note Clevenger, violinist, earned her Bachelor of Arts degree in Music (Violin) at the Conservatory of Music at the University of Missouri-Kansas City. She studied with Benny Kim, renowned violinist and graduate of the Julliard School. She has performed with the Kansas City Ballet Orchestra, Kansas City Philharmonia, Des Moines Symphony, Kansas City Puccini Arts Festival and the Colorado Mahlerfest Orchestra. Ms. Clevenger freelances in the greater Kansas City music community and is a member of the Kansas City Federation of Musicians. She has participated in master classes with Nadja Salerno-Sonnenburg, Pamela Frank, Roland Vamos, the Orion String Quartet, the Prazac String Quartet, and the Manhattan String Quartet among others.
In addition to performing, Jennifer has taught both violin and viola in the Kansas City area since 1998, currently teaching at the Toon Shop School of Music in Prairie Village, KS and at her home. Many of her students participate in the Kansas City Youth Symphony and the Olathe Youth Symphony. Ms. Clevenger also conducts violin sectionals for the Olathe NW Orchestra and has also adjudicated for the Shawnee Mission Northwest Orchestra.
